Description
Bruno Mathsson debuted the first Karin easy chair to wide acclaim in 1969. Four years later, a variation was added to the collection: the Karin 73, named for the year of its introduction. Like the original Karin, the Karin 73 has a sleek chrome-plated frame with fabric supporting web, as well as castors or glides that make it easy to move the chair as needed.
The key difference is in the design of the cushions, which use deep stitching without buttons for the 73 model. Just like the original Karin, however, the cushions are well stuffed with polyether and fibrefill to provide the comfort of a supremely relaxing seating experience.
Unavailable for more than 20 years, the Karin 73 returned to stores as part of the DUX Design Revival in 2012, and it has remained in production ever since. It’s part of the growing Karin collection, which also features the original chair along with sofas, matching footstool and tables.
